Hello, I'm new to this forum stuff but I'll give it a try. My system is running Windows Vista basic and originally had IE7. I upgraded to IE8 about a week ago and had problems with Image Viper ever since (by the way...you guy's are the best out there). I'll see if I can explain the problem. When first opening Viper, it loads from the left of the screen instead of just popping up. Once it's loaded, when you scroll down or up on any of the pages, it jumps slowly in tiny increments until you get were you want to go. Went back to IE7 and it works just fine. Went back to IE8 and the problem still remains. I would like to stay with IE8 because it is much faster than IE7 and does have additional bennefits. Are you or antone else experiencing this problem...if so is there a fix?
Thanks

Hi Gary,

I haven't tried IE8 with Viper as yet but will give it a shot to see if I can replicate what you're seeing. We are at the moment re-coding the site from the ground up to make it easier to add new features to the site & also improve on many of the current features the site currently has... so if there is any underlying issue with this it will likely be fixed with the new updates.

In the mean time.... have you tried using other browsers such as Firefox? I highly recommend this over the IE browser for speed & security.

Hi Gary..... I don't have Vista (XP) but I gave the site a try in IE8 & didn't seem to experience any of the issues you listed above; seemed to work fine to me... so not sure what to say on that one.

Two things I would recommend..... either stick to using IE7 or give another browser a go such as Firefox as I mentioned above OR if you would prefer to keep using IE8, then have a look at their new feature called "compatibility view"; this tool is a new feature of IE8 where it can change the rendering engine to use that of IE7/6 etc I believe for sites which don't work as well in IE8. Hello and thanks for the responses. This is very interesting!!! I did switch back to IE7 and besides the speed issue, there appeared to be a resolution glitch that we had with a new monitor. I did contact the mfg. of the monitor and they couldn't figure it out either. Went back to IE8 and the resolution problem went away. I then tried Firefox which I have heard alot about but got into the resolution issue once again. Firefox was a great deal faster and has some pretty niffty features and Viper worked just fine however the resolution problem still exsited. You had mentioned the compatibility tool on IE8 which was tried but did not help either.
Sounds like I will just deal with this as it may be a combination of several things or may be a Vista issue(I don't like Vista at all). If and when I figure this out I will let you know what the problem was so you can help some other folks if they encounter the same problem.
Thanks so much for trying.
Gary

It's me again...I forgot to mention that it seems to be very bizzar that the forum site works just fine in IE8 and the other area doesn't. I don't know much about the languages of writting a web site or whatever is done to create one but there seems to be differnce between the main web site Vs. the forum web site. Just my 2 cents worth.
