I have a paid account...(I've had it for nearly 2 years)
I send links to my members ALL the time (clients) and tell them to save their images I created on their OWN computers...BUT...when they go to save animated images (such as gifs) they do NOT save as a gif but as a bit maps...WHY?
I would like info on if it's possible to set my account so when members try to copy images from my image viper account how they can do so for animated images and so they actually go to clients as the inteneded format...gifs go as gifs and jpegs as jpegs...

I've noticed the same thing. Often times refreshing the browser will make it so you can download them correctly. Maybe Brett will know if there is an easier way to take care of this though Smiley

Hi lilaj378,

Please be advised that this problem is not isolated to ImageViper only; I have experienced this issue myself several times via several other services & evenn ImageViper.

What I have found is that it appears to be only a problem in IE; here is a quote from a page about the issue with the link provided below:

Quote

My Browser Will Only Save Gifs As BMP's
Because of a glitch, Internet Explorer can cause .gif images to be downloaded as .bmp files.
This happens when IE's temporary internet files (cache) fills up. To correct the problem, simply
go to 'Internet options' in your 'control panel' and choose "delete files" in the Temporary
Internet Files area. You will find specific information about this problem, and the fix, at the Microsoft
support site: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;260650

Hi Alice..... the kind gentleman you are referring to is Aaron (or "aclays" here on this forum).. Tongue

He also made a post to this thread about it too; but it got lost when converting the forum over to the new software.

I apoligize for not getting the issue fixed earlier; I thought it had to do with that IE bug I mentioned above. Sad
